The Artisan Aide position is for a candidate who dreams of solidifying their artisan experience in the Mining Operations. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of this role is to provide assistance to a pool of artisans to whom they will be allocated. Key role in safely assisting artisans with plant maintenance and breakdowns
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
- At least N3 Engineering studies in Mining or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the mining industry will be an advantage
- Basic knowledge of the use of tools and equipment.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides support to a pool of maintenance Foreman/Artisan to whom the individual is allocated to perform low complexity high volume work
- Daily maintenance and inspections
- Participate in investigations into workplace incidents
- Report any unsafe behaviour, conditions, and incidents to the responsible person
- Conduct pre-use inspections, routine inspections, and report defects
- Conduct risk assessment before all tasks and identify risks and hazards
- Keep all equipment clean and in good condition all the time
- Loading, dispatching material & equipment to work sites
- Ensure that members work together as a team while completing tasks
Placement Duration: 24 four months
